How to Clean Selenite: Care for Lamps, Spheres and Decorations

Care for selenite decorations with gentle handling and the dry-cleaning guidance supplied with the selected product. A sphere, a carved decoration and a lamp have different shapes and components, so check the complete item before you begin.

Read the specific product notes

The Selenite Collection, sphere with brass holder and rechargeable-base lamp are different products. Confirm the instructions for your selected piece rather than relying on a general ritual guide. Mixed display sets also need care suitable for their other stones and accessories.

Use a gentle dry method

Where advised in the listing, lift surface dust with a soft dry cloth or a clean soft brush. Avoid pressure and repeated rubbing. Keep the tools clean so grit is not dragged across the surface, and stop if a detail feels fragile or unstable.

Support the piece when moving it

Move a lamp by supporting its base and stone securely, without pulling on a cable or decorative feature. Hold a sphere over a stable surface and return it carefully to its holder. Keep pieces away from edges where they could be knocked.

Keep lamp components dry

Switch off and disconnect powered parts according to the supplied instructions. Follow the lamp's separate charging directions and keep the base and electrical connections dry. A lamp is an electrical product as well as a decorative mineral object.

Separate ritual language from cleaning

Selenite is traditionally associated with peace and symbolic cleansing. Those beliefs do not remove household dust or replace physical care. Choose any personal ritual so that it respects the item's care instructions, avoiding soaking, salt and harsh cleaning experiments.
